Craft - all ages

Monday Club is the name of the craft and leisure afternoon held every Monday from 1.30. - 3.30.  All ages welcome, including children with a responsible adult.

We aim to provide space for busy people to relax and be creative, or for those who live alone to enjoy some like-minded company. We have lots of materials and ideas, so don't worry if you think you are not artistic or clever with your hands.   There is always something going on around the table to watch or have a go at yourself.  

We are into jewellery, knitting, sewing,  painting,  modelling, cards etc etc.  You could help Jean trim round stamps for charity.Or knit vests and blanket squares for the African and Asia. 

Sometimes folk just relax with a cup of tea.

We work towards Operation Christmas Child, last year filling 29 shoeboxes for children overseas with items we made  (see right, cat not included).

This was followed by craft stalls at the Rothwell Christmas Fayre and May Day.

The men are not forgotton.  Model making is popular, and there is talk of a gardening section. 

Also thoughts of a Scrabble Club, especially when we have more space.  All ideas welcome.
